about the page: The link that brought you here is either for the page that is the default entry to EDN/Area Development/USA or one of its individual state pages. Use the links in the paragraphs below to expand on the information as needed.

how to use a state page:

dot The CONTACTS link goes to a list of .network participants. Also, the names of locations highlighted as links access contact data for participants who are their economic development representatives and in position to provide location data.
spacer
dot The GRC link goes to a state page that lists locations and contacts. Information is limited but more is available if you want it. The file essentially prompts you to ask us to deliver on the search promise of The Networkdashmore about the GRC.
spacer
dot Select REGIONS for an explanation or the linked state name for a list. Regional files are published in http://www.SiteLocationAssistance.com (the SLA website).
spacer
dot The COUNTIES link should be self-explanatory. Linked location names go to contact data for .network participants who are local economic development representatives.
spacer
dot The LOCATIONS / AREA DEVELOPMENT link goes to the list of places that users have inquired about. Our response to an inquiry is to try to find a map online that provides various links to area organizations involved in economic development. If the abbreviation loc is shown as a link it goes to a map or explanation. Other links go either to information that .network participants provide or to the GRC page published to accommodate requests for free location listings.
spacer
dot Our SEARCH PROMISE is available at all times. Use it to request personal assistance when needed. There is no cost or obligation when asking for help should you reach a dead end, run across wrong information or a broken link, or simply not find what you are looking for at all.

dotdashUSA / Economic Development Directories
spacer
A US economic development directory created from our search for associations of economic developers and their allies state by state. We listed the next best reference available if a state association offered no free-access membership directory online. Our objective was to find and report sources of contact data for local economic development representatives before all others.
spacer
dotdashUSA / location data directory
of community economic development profiles
spacer
An online state by state reference for finding sources of community profiles or the like that enterprise developers can use to make decision during the course of site selection, expansion, or relocation projects. Such location data is useful to entrepreneurs also as they consider where the best place is to startup a new venture. The objective in creating this directory was to enhance our introduction to Location Data Suppliers.
